Our packaging

For Germinal Bio branded products, we use packaging designed to be disposed of through separate waste collection, according to the instructions provided on the packaging.
As our packaging evolves, we are also committed to evaluating packaging solutions that can help reduce the use of plastic, where technically possible.

FSC® certified paper

For our product boxes and communication materials, we have chosen to use 100% virgin paper, reducing paper consumption by 30%.
Over 80% of the paper we purchase comes from responsibly managed forests and is FSC® certified.

Valuing supply chains within a circular economy perspective is a long-term strategic goal for us.

We work with short, certified, and guaranteed supply chains to ensure full traceability from field to table, and, where feasible, we opt for 100% Italian raw materials.

In order to support Italian agricultural companies, we have established supply chain agreements that offer fair pricing in line with the quality of the raw materials.

Additionally, we partner with Altromercato for the procurement of cane sugar, cocoa, spices, and other raw materials sourced from fair trade and solidarity-based ethical supply chains.

Renewable electricity

We use electricity from renewable sources. The roofs of our three facilities host modern photovoltaic systems, and the remaining electricity needs, drawn from the grid, come from renewable sources.
